“We are proud to be founding partners of the Vector Institute, the world’s leading AI institute, as it allows us to extend our research and answer fundamental questions in AI of wide-reaching scientific and industrial importance that will help define the world of tomorrow,” said Jimoh Ovbiagele, ROSS Intelligence’s CTO/Cofounder, who will also be joining the Vector Institute’s Advisory Group to help shape AI’s future. “Canada has emerged as a world leader in the AI space and the Vector Institute’s mission aligns perfectly with our goals and mission at ROSS Intelligence.”
“Legal question-answering is the ideal test bed for understanding natural human language, and this partnership with Vector will help us to significantly advance developments at ROSS Intelligence,” said Andrew Arruda, CEO/Cofounder of ROSS Intelligence. “I am excited for our customers and partners to benefit from the most cutting-edge research that will flow from the Vector Institute into our current and future products.”
ROSS Intelligence, which announced the addition of world-leading AI pioneer and Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (AMII) co-founder Randy Goebel as an advisor only two months ago, has continued to bring together the best and brightest in the AI space to work on the development of artificially intelligent tools within the legal space. ROSS Intelligence recently opened their Toronto AI R&D HQ in June of 2017 which featured Toronto Mayor John Tory and University of Toronto President Meric Gertler cutting the ribbon at its inauguration. The talent and knowledge produced at the Vector Institute will help ROSS Intelligence advance the speed of AI development within the legal space and bring on world-class undergraduate, graduate and doctoral researchers to its world-class team.
