San Francisco, CA: Today, ROSS Intelligence (“ROSS”) is announcing its law school program, offering its industry-leading AI-driven legal research platform to law students and faculty for free. This move is a part of the company’s mission to improve the delivery of legal services.
“The legal profession is changing quickly and clients are demanding greater efficiency. We’re building tools to help future attorneys thrive in this new environment,” says Andrew Arruda, CEO and co-founder of ROSS. “Opening access across the country will provide law students with the 21st-century tools they need to succeed in today’s rapidly evolving legal market.”
Law students can sign up on the company’s website using their law school email address to gain full access to ROSS’s AI-driven legal research platform. They can leverage the platform’s AI capabilities to better understand the law and prepare themselves for more efficient and effective practice.
“Law students learn to be lawyers in law school. With ROSS, law students can learn to be the lawyers of the future. ROSS allows users to stop focusing on the intricacies of search formulae and spend more time learning how to be client-focused, business-minded, and innovative,” said Jimoh Ovbiagele, the company’s CTO and co-founder, based on his interviews with law students who have had early access to the platform.
Law students will have access to the platform until they graduate.
For years, the ROSS team has been working with educators and administrators at law schools including Harvard, Duke, and Vanderbilt to modernize and future-proof their curriculum. In line with these efforts, law school faculty can also get access as long as they are teaching.
“I've had the pleasure of working with ROSS Intelligence as they've scaled out their academic access program, and from its inception up to today have witnessed the effect ROSS has had on legal education and the formation of the nation's future jurists. This is a substantial step, but it won't be their last,” said Daniel Rodriguez, Chair of the ABA's Center for Innovation, and Former Dean and Current Harold Washington Professor at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.
“You cannot underestimate the influence law professors have on the direction of the legal profession, or the responsibility that comes with that influence. At ROSS, we see it as our duty to support professors in preparing students for the future,” said Thomas Hamilton, VP Strategy and Operations at ROSS.
With thousands of law students already on ROSS’s platform, ROSS expects the platform to spread quickly in law schools around the country. Interested law students and law faculty may sign up here for unlimited access to ROSS: https://rossintelligence.com/academic-accounts.html
