SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (July 15th, 2019) - ROSS Intelligence today announced it has appointed Jack Newton, Co-Founder and CEO of Clio, to its Board of Directors.

“I’m honored to join ROSS Intelligence’s Board, and I look forward to playing a role in guiding the company’s growth in the years to come,” said Jack Newton. “I’m extremely excited to be part of a company that is bringing the legal profession into the 21st century and helping shape the modern workflows of attorneys.”

In 2008, Jack Newton launched Clio, the first-to-market cloud-based practice management platform. It made managing a practice simple, affordable and accessible for tens of thousands of law firms. Clio has ignited a revolution and helped create a new industry of cloud-based legal startups. In just over 10 years, Clio has set the standard for cloud-based technology and now offers two products: practice management software, and client intake and legal CRM software.

“Having Jack join the ROSS team is fabulous,” said Andrew Arruda, ROSS Intelligence’s Co-Founder and CEO. “The legal tech industry continues to rapidly grow and having Jack’s experience in scaling a legal technology company on the team enables us to continue to grow our user base while delivering the best legal research experience possible.”

“Clio has long been an inspiration for our team, both in terms of their place in the market but also the incredible work they’ve done building and encouraging a legaltech community” said Jimoh Ovbiagele, Co-Founder and CTO of ROSS Intelligence. “Jack’s experience and wisdom will help bring us to the next level at super speed”

“ROSS Intelligence continues to make impressive strides forward in the fields of natural language processing and machine learning, and has encouraged other companies to do the same,” said Newton. “I’m looking forward to participating in and helping guide their journey, and can’t wait to work with the team.”

Jack Newton joining the ROSS Intelligence team comes on the heels of the company’s recent announcement that ROSS has become a membership benefit of The Florida Bar and the recent news that Shopify’s former Director of Engineering, Stergios Anastasiadis, joined the ROSS Intelligence team as the Head of Engineering.
